Guildford Borough Council is hosting a programme of free creative events at 10 Guildford venues as a part of the Big Draw. The events offer a range of activities including print-making, textiles, sculpture, painting, willow weaving and more. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join in at as many of our free events as they wish.

Join us for a week of repulsive plants and frightening food! Because plants can't get up and run away from their predators they have evolved an extraordinary array of defensive mechanisms against insects and animals. Learn all about caterpillar spit as you plant seeds, carve a pumpkin, design a spider cupcake, climb a tall tree, hear tall stories and make a pumpkin hat. Surrey's Early Years and Childcare Service would like your views about the leaflets they produce for parents of children under five. If you are a parent of a child under five years old you can join them for an informal discussion about the following leaflets which can be viewed on the website below - Being, Becoming, Belonging, Move with me, Read with me and Under fives communication.

Now in its 9th year the Supercar Event has something for the whole family including Supercar rides around the famous Top Gear track from just £30. Last year's event was a resounding success full of exciting rides and attractions with record visitor numbers raising a fantastic amount for The Children's Trust. Held at Dunsfold Park, near Guildford, The Supercar Event is already shaping up to be the highlight of the 2015 Calendar. Where else can you pick from a list of some of the greatest Supercars ever made and then be driven around the Top Gear track at speed! If you get time, why not try one of the other attractions, including helicopter rides, Caterham Seven rides, hovercraft rides, Segway's, mini tanks, the Lexus LFA or classic car rides? Our younger guests can have their first driving experience with Stay Safe Driving School (age 14 and above), take a fire engine ride or try a go-kart! They can also meet Peppa Pig in the dedicated children's area. Afterwards grab some food and listen to some music courtesy of Radio Jackie.
